            Child Rights Fiesta
            On June 6th Change for Children presents a fundraiser celebrating the ongoing partnerships between Albertans and Nicaraguans rooted in commitment to Children's Rights. For over thirty years, CFCA members have connected with Nicaraguan communities through work projects and educational exchanges. The effect in both countries has been transformative, as we have learned from and supported each other in our efforts to achieve basic rights for children. 

            Please join us to celebrate this rich cross-border relationship that has transformed hundreds of lives here at home and in Nicaragua at the Community Fiesta Communitaria on June 6th.

            The Fiesta program includes performances by Change for Children advocates Bill Bourne, Le Fuzz, Freddy Martinez from Nicaragua, Andrea House, Quetzala Carson and the Cunningham Family Band. All of these performers have been influenced by CFCA's strong relationships with Nicaragua. Presentations about the Child Rights Mural Project (inspired by local teacher Ed Carson) and other educational projects will be integrated into this community event...and the evening will close with a Latin dance set by Pachuco-Pachanga!

            The Child Rights Mural Project
            The Children's Rights Mural Project involves the creation of two public art murals (one in Edmonton and one in Managua) depicting images of child rights that have been created through an internationally collaborative process. Participate by making a donation individually or with your family, colleagues, community towards a 'panel' of this mural and demonstrate your commitment to achieving rights for all children!
