--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Join with Roger Hutchinson and members of the Edmonton area ecumenical social action groups for an evening of reflection and discussion. Roger will provide a critical overview and analysis of the "glory days" of Canadian ecumenical social action in the 1970s and 1980s and the changed situation of the past fifteen years. We will talk together about the challenges and opportunities for this work today.
Roger C. Hutchinson is the first Ronning Centre Distinguished Visiting Fellow on Religion and Public Life. He has written extensively on the work of the
Canadian ecumenical social justice coalitions over the past thirty years. He has also participated in many of the discussions and debates within ecumenical peace and justice networks in Canada as well as with the World Council of Churches. Since 2002 Hutchinson has been Professor Emeritus, Emmanuel College of Victoria University in the University of Toronto.
