Subject: Mary Robinson, Visiting Lectureship in Human Rights



On April 2 Mary Robinson provided the 10th annual University of Alberta Visiting Lectureship in Human Rights.  She spoke primarily of the right to health.  You can find out more about some of the initiatives Mrs. Robinson has been involved in through the website of her organization, Realizing Rights, at www.realizingrights.org.  Mrs. Robinson is a member of The Elders, an initiative begun by Nelson Mandela, Graca Machel and Desmond Tutu:  www.theelders.org.  2008 is the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Mrs. Robinson is leading a campaign to have one billion people pledge to support the goals of the Declaration.  Please join this campaign by signing the pledge at www.everyhumanhasrights.org.
